Melissa, E-RYT 200, RYT 300, PYT, YACEP, discovered Yoga about 20 years ago as a way to mindfully move with her own young children. After years as an athlete, staying active was a priority and something to model for a healthy lifestyle. After finding adult classes, Yoga became a way to destress from a career working with children with disabilities at the elementary school level. When Melissa delved deeper into the roots of the practice, she decided to study in a 200 hour program. Obtaining her 200 hr certification in 2013 was just the beginning of a life long journey. She has since obtained a certification from Love Your Brain to teach classes to individuals that have sustained a traumatic brain injury, completed a 300 hour Yoga teacher training in 2022, and completed a prenatal Yoga teacher training in 2024. She has been teaching Yoga classes for over 12 years in various settings and has helped facilitate a Yoga Teacher Training for almost 10 years. After 46 years in central Ohio, Melissa and her husband relocated to Indianapolis in 2023 for his job. Melissa enjoys practicing Yoga and Pilates, weight training, hiking, disc golf, reading, cooking and baking, volunteering, traveling, and discovering new hobbies as recent empty nesters with their dog Oliver.
